MullenLowe Lintas Group, India was declared the ‘Agency of the Year’ at the 2016 India Effies awards held in Mumbai on December 16, 2016. This was a result of the agency winning 23 metals across 11 of its brands.
Of its 54 shortlisted cases, the agency ended up winning on 23 of them. This win now makes it twice in two years for MullenLowe Lintas Group to be recognised as the best in the country for effective marketing communication ideas. And thrice in the last 4 years!
Commenting on the win, S Subramanyeswar (Subbu), National Planning Director, Lowe Lintas said: “Being awarded AoY twice in two years demonstrates that our ideas have been consistently impressing jury members by what they have managed to deliver in the marketplace. The agency’s winners for the night included Godrej HIT, Google, Lifebuoy, Freecharge, Bajaj Avenger and others. In the category “Best Ongoing Campaign”, the agency won awards for two of its brands – Surf Excel and Tanishq; demonstrating the agency’s strength in building and sustaining big brand ideas over time as also the agency’s focus on partnering clients to add value and building long-lasting relations with them.
This recognition was a befitting close to a memorable year for MullenLowe Lintas Group that regularly won recognition right through the year including being recognized as the Best Creative Agency in the World by WARC 100 – also two years in a row; winning the Agency of the Year title at APAC Effie Awards 2016, the Agency of the Year crown at U&AP APAC Tambuli Awards, Manila and just under a month back, being declared the India Creative Agency of the Year at the Campaign South Asia Awards.
